Monakea is based on an object-oriented framework that is easy to use. All data characteristics are available everywhere; data can be listed, filtered, exported or imported, by any criteria. All objects has user rights and are auditable; data is never deleted. Additional information is always a right-click away; it is possible, for example, while entering a deal on one screen, to see the details of a given currency, or even to create a new one, while entering the deal.
When necessary, Monakea generates its screens and printed forms, and is its own database administrator. For this reason Monakea works on any type of SQL server, from MySQL to Oracle. Data integrity is inherent, both technically and historically, through the audit trail.
Monakea is based on solid client-server, multi-user technology, entirely written in Java with a three-tiered architecture (user clients, a server and a database). Monakea is an event-driven system - there is no "refresh" button (screens update by themselves), and no batch processing is necessary, although a scheduler is built-in to accomplish import-export tasks as necessary. Monakea also handles electronic mail natively, allowing events to trigger mails.
