MAAM Soft , based in Paris, France, is dedicated to the design, development, marketing and service around Monakea Alternative, its Fund-of-Hedge-Fund institutional management product. Monakea is profitable and independent, and was incubated by its integration partner, TeamTrade, which has offices in London, Luxembourg, Milan and New York.
Monakea was incorporated in 2002 by professional developers to design a brand-new technological framework for managing financial data. The result was a multi-user, three-tiered, real-time, event-driven system written in Java from the ground up.
In 2003, the first client mandated the system for a set of fund-of-hedge-fund portfolios to organise what was then a small activity, which has since grown tenfold. In 2005, the system was packaged as an integrated product and the company began marketing in 2006.
Monakea is managed by a small group of senior analysts working closely with large institutional clients to define needs and transfer knowledge to developers and other product specialists.
